Dozens of academics and lawyers from across Canada have signed a letter urging the Federal and Provincial governments to meet with the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs.
The goal is a peaceful resolution to this situation. Tensions have been mounting with police at an RCMP blockade.
The Wet’suwet’en are calling on the two governments to meet with them and have meaningful good faith talks. They also hope that the government will respect their rule of law.
