Quesnel RCMP are asking for a Good Samaritan to come forward and speak with police.
Mounties say the man came to the aid of a teenager who was being sexually assaulted last week.
Investigators say a female was attacked around 10:45 Friday night in the alley by 130 Malcolm Drive.
A man came to the girl’s assistance and the suspect left the area when he was approached by the man.
RCMP arrested a 46-year-old Quesnel man the following day for sexual assault in connection with the attack.
However, investigators say it’s important for the man who helped the victim to contact police.
The suspect in the case has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court February 25.
