Vic Van Isle Construction has been awarded the tender for the construction of new Public Works Facility.
Since receiving the proposals in November, the City of Quesnel has been trying to reduce the cost of the facility without reducing the functionality. Through a process of simplifying the building, the City has brought the estimated cost for the site and facility to $12.7 million.
The combination of high construction inflation along with deteriorating existing public works buildings has made it essential that this project move along without further delay. The new Public Works Facility is expected to be complete in November 2020.
