Haida Gwaii and North Coast residents can expect gusty and snowy conditions for the next couple of days.
Environment Canada as issued a special weather statement for the regions as a sharp trough approaches the region.
Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 90 kilometres an hour on Haida Gwaii and exposed coastal sections of the mainland.
Wind warnings have been issued for both Haida Gwaii and the North Coast.
Rain and snow are also expected over the North Coast, with up to 10 centimetres of snow for Terrace and up to 15 cm for Stewart.
Forecasters expect the snow to change to rain by Friday night with a risk of freezing rain.
