Six more arrests have been made in Prince George with the use of bait packages.
On Tuesday Dec. 10 three people were arrested for theft under $5,000 only an hour after the bait bike was deployed. A 29 year old man, a 36 year old man and a 22 year old man will appear in court on March 4, 2020. All three of the men are residents of Prince George.
On Friday Dec. 13 three more men were arrested following the deployment of a bait package. 30 year old Justin Dereck Murphy and 29 year old Eugene William Jimmie were the first to be arrested following the theft of a package from a vehicle. Shortly after another man, after having walked past the police vehicles, attempted to steal an item from the vehicle before attempting to flee on foot. One officer suffered a minor injury as a result of a struggle with a suspect.
Murphy is set to appear in court on Dec. 18. Jimmie will appear in court on Feb. 5 and the third man, a 37 year old Prince George Resident will appear in court on Jan 15.
