Students continue to rally at UNBC campuses. Frustrations build for students as they wait for an agreement to be reached.
Students in the social work program would delay their graduation by two or more years as the program is not offered at the Terrace Campus every year.
For many students they have already planned and purchased tickets for their vacation. If the semester was to be extended then that would mean an added cost trying to plan their holiday again.
Sarah Peden from the Prince George campus noted that first year students are forced into the food program at school. With the strike ongoing the food supply is not always available.
Peden says that the first two days of the strike there was no food and other days it would be a salad and sandwich bar for the students on the meal program.
Student issues continue farther as some already have jobs lined up post-graduation. Without their degree they would not be qualified to work the job and would have to delay employment as well.
Students continue to rally to make their points heard and bring attention to the many growing issues they continue to face.
