The District of Kitimat is under a water quality advisory.
Northern Health recommends that children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems drink boiled water at this time.
The water quality advisory is due to elevated turbidity levels in the source water.
There is currently no evidence of increased risk to water users, and additional testing is being conducted to verify this as soon as possible.
The District of Kitimat is working with Northern Health on this matter.
