Terrace could once again have a hotel tax. The city previously had a hotel tax that was not not renewed in 2012.
Kermodei Tourism presented a plan to reinstate The Municipal and Regional District Tax. The tax of 2 or 3 per cent would be placed on all eligible hotel rooms.
Liz Smaha the executive director for Kermodei Tourism says she hopes to show hotel owners what the tax can do for them.
After communicating with hotel owners Smaha hopes to engage them further and gain a majority vote for the tax to move ahead.
