A 48-year-old Terrace man is facing multiple charges after what police describe as a Sunday “crime spree”.
RCMP say they were called out around 2 p.m. after a man walked into a Highland Drive home, said he was looking for clothes, and then stole a truck from the driveway.
Shortly after that, police received a report about a truck matching the stolen vehicle’s description, pulling into a driveway, smashing a trailer, and then driving erractically down Lanfear Hill. Mounties found the vehicle crashed and abandoned on Davis Avenue.
Police got reports of a suspicious man near Thomas Street before officers caught up with a man matching the suspect’s description near the Canadian Tire store.
Officers managed to arrest the man in front of the business after a short chase.
