RCMP say one person died and another driver was sent to hospital after a crash outside of Cache Creek Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a 23-year-old woman was west-bound on Highway 1 near Juniper Beach when her vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a pickup.
Corporal Mike Halskov of E-Division Traffic Services says the woman, who was from the Cariboo-Chilcotin, was killed while the driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries.
RCMP are trying to figure out what caused the vehicle to cross the centre line.
