Vanderhoof RCMP are investigating a string of suspicious fires in the community.
Mounties say the first fire was reported in April, while the most recent blaze was reported September 26, 2019.
Investigators say one suspect was arrested and remains in custody, but no other details are available.
RCMP say they believe all five fires are related and evidence suggests they were all dilberately set.
While nobody was injured in any of the arsons, police say things could have been much worse.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the arsons.
