Carol Bellringer, British Columbia’s Auditor General has announced her resignation.
Bellringer says she will step down at the end of the year and has sent a resignation letter to legislature Speaker Darrly Plecas.
She was appointed April 1st, 2015 and her term would have ended March 21st, 2021.
Bellringer’s most recent audit was into the spending practices of some of the legislature’s top officers.
She is currently not taking interviews on this matter.
