Environmental rallies continue to take place all over the world.
Supporters come out to continue the conversation about climate change and what is happening and why it’s happening.
People want real change and are pressing governments to take the necessary steps to achieve this change.
Topics like greenhouse gas emissions and the LNG projects are speaking points at these local events.
“I hear a lot of concerns about the climate impacts of LNG at the same time we have a project that is rapidly being built so I believe that our responsibility is to do right by the communities of the region to minize the negative impacts and to make sure that the benefits of the development are maximized,” says Taylor Backrach NDP candiate for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley.
Bachrach says he is looking to tackle this climate issue with the seriouness it deserves.
The conversation continues across the world as more government officials are getting involved.
These rallies will be taking place from September 20th to the 27th.
