Williams Lake RCMP say murder charges have been laid in connection with the death of a man reported missing last month.
The body of Branton Regner was pulled from the Fraser River August 27, about three weeks after he disppeared following an incident upstream at the Rudy Johnson Bridge.
The BC Prosecution Service has charged Jayson Gilbert and Michael Drynock with first degree murder for Regner’s death.
RCMP say Gilbert and Drynock continue to face one charge each of attempted murder and kidnapping.
Williams Lake RCMP detachment commander Inspector Jeff Pelley credits the efforts of the local force and the North District Major Crime Unit.
Pelley says the investigations into the August 6th murder of Richard Duncan and the Branton Regner case continue.
