People on the Quesnel area may see some smoke and flames starting this week.
The BC Wildfire Service is planning to burn some piles of woody debris on the western slope of Dragon Mountain.
The debris was collected during a fuel management project in the area over the past few weeks.
Officials say burning could begin as early as Thursday, Sept. 19 and continue periodically until as late as Oct. 31.
