The BC SPCA is investigating the deaths of three dogs in Prince George that appear to have been shot in the head.
The agency says the remains of a black, male French bulldog, a fawn-coloured female pug and a black and tan female miniature pincher were found in a ditch Monday near the intersection of Damms Road and Willow Cale Road.
It says they were apparently shot, but their bodies have been sent for forensic analysis to learn more.
“The dogs appeared to be in good condition and well-cared for, so it is confusing that they would have been killed in such a disturbing manner,” says Dr. Teresa Cook, the BC SPCA’s regional manager of cruelty investigations for northern B.C.
