Sunday will mark a year since the body of 18-year-old Jessica Balczer was found near Smithers.
Family and friends are holding a memorial march in Smithers Sunday to mark the anniversary of the case that remains unsolved.
The young mother and member of the Lake Babine Nation had been reported missing to RCMP two weeks before her remains were discovered at a pullout along Hudson Bay Mountain Road.
Police have released very few details about the case, including her cause of death, but say the investigation is continuing.
Her family says the event is to both honour her memory and continue the search for both answers and justice.
The memorial march is set for 12:30 Sunday at Bovill Square in Smithers followed by a meal at the Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre.
