The government is investing $2.4 million to be shared among 94 community adult literacy programs.
Post secondary institutions work with community literacy providers to connect adults with the skills they need to build a strong future.
These programs include a variety of learning opportunities. These include one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction and support all levels of literacy.
The government calls it an important first step for adults in their journey to obtaining post-secondary education.
