Williams Lake RCMP say a fisherman found a body in the Fraser River near the Sheep Creek Bridge Wednesday.
Investigators say they’re reviewing all missing persons cases in the region.
Branton Regner has been missing since an incident at the Rudy Johnson Bridge, about 40 km upstream on the river August 9th.
Two men, 25-year-old Jayson Gilbert and 23-year-old Michael Drynock, are charged with attempted murder in connection with the bridge incident.
We are aware of the most recent missing person investigation and the charges that have been laid and we are exhausting all possibilities to determine if there is any connection with these investigations,
said Inspector Jeff Pelley, Officer In Charge, Williams Lake RCMP.
