Cooler temperatures and rain have put a damper on wildfire activity in northwest B.C.
The Northwest Fire Centre says crews are demobilizing firefighting equipment and structural protection units in the Cassiar Fire Zone now that fires are no longer threatening any structures.
Officials have rescinded an evacuation alert and order for the Southwest Tagish Lake fire west of Atlin which has burned about 1200 hectares.
The wildfire service says it will assess structural protection units set up at Tahltan Lake 25 km from the 4600 hectare Barrington River fire.
All six fires in the Volcano Creek complex west of Bell II as well as the Mehan Lake fire are considered under control.
The BC Wildfire Service says it will continue to monitor fires in the Cassiar Zone.
