The Cariboo Regional District is advising some residents about a planned phone outage.
Telus says all cell and landline numbers starting with 397 in the Forest Grove, Canim Lake, and Hawkins Lake areas won’t be available tonight, including 9-1-1.
The affected numbers will not be able to make or receive calls.
The outage is scheduled to last from 11 p.m.Aug. 14 until 6 a.m. Aug. 15 so that Telus can complete upgrades to the system.
The CRD is advising people with an emergency during the outage to go to the Forest Grove Fire Hall 1 or 2 or the Canim Lake Fire Hall.
