A major telecommunications network outage is affecting emergency phone numbers in Fort Nelson.
NorthwesTel says the outage is affecting phone services in northern B.C., Yukon, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories.
Fort Nelson residents are being asked to us the following temporary numbers in case of emergency:
In case of a FIRE EMERGENCY, please call is 250.775.0796 or 250.321.0924
For RCMP EMERGENCY, please call 1-250-787-8100
It’s not known how long the outage will last.
