The cuts keep coming for B.C.’s beleaguered forestry industry.
Sinclar Group Forest Products has announced a two-week curtailment for its operations in Prince George, Vanderhoof, and Fort St. James beginning August 19.
The company says it’s delayed the decision as long as possible due its commitment to employees and their communities.
Sinclar cites high log costs and challenging global market conditions for the curtailments which will reduce production by about 25 million board feet.
