RCMP say have identified the man found dead along Highway 37 last week.
Charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of 64-year-old Leonard Dyck are 19-year-old Kam McLeod and 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky.
The Vancouver man’s body was found at a Highway pullout about two kilometres south of McLeod and Schmegelsky’s burning vehicle July 19 2019.
Mounties say as a result of the charges, Canada-wide warrants have been issued for McLeod and Schmegelsky who are thought to be in Manitoba.
The Dyck family has released a statement through the RCMP:
We are truly heart broken by the sudden and tragic loss of Len. He was a loving husband and father. His death has created unthinkable grief and we are struggling to understand what has happened. While we understand there will be interest in knowing more about him and the impact he had during his life, we are asking for the public and the media to please respect our privacy during this difficult time.
BC RCMP have released a photo of Leonard Dyck and expanded their request for any additional information from anyone who may have spoken to him in his travels in northern BC.

RCMP are asking people to be vigilant for Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky, and consider them to be armed and dangerous.
