BC Hydro crews are still working to reconnect customers after a series of storms knocked out power across northwest B.C. Monday.
Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer says high wind brought down trees and power lines across a large area.
Gammer said as of 11:00 a.m. there were still about 1800 customers without power. He adds the hardest hit areas are located around Kitwanga, Cedarvale, the Hazeltons, and the Kispiox Valley
He says in some cases crews are still making their way to outages in order to assess damage and make repairs.
Gammer is asking for customers to be patient and call in reports about downed lines and trees
