The B.C. government has announced relief for victims of this month’s flooding in the Chilcotin.
The province says Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) is now available to residents impacted after torrential rain and overland flooding.
Assistance is available to homeowners, tenants, businesses, farmers, and local governments that weren’t able to obtain insurance to cover their disaster-related losses.
Applications for assistance in the Cariboo Regional District and Tsilhqot’in National Government must be submitted to Emergency Management BC by October 15, 2019.
The DFA application form is available online: http://www.gov.bc.ca/
