Prince George RCMP have two suspects in custody after a stolen truck was involved in two crashes Tuesday.
Mounties were called about a stolen Ford F-250 shortly after 5:00 a.m. At about 9:00, an officer spotted a truck matching the description, but it was gone by the time the officer turned around.
Minutes later, police got reports of a dangerous driver in a Ford F-series truck that collided with a vehicle near the Simon Fraser Bridge and then hit another vehicle near the BCR Industrial Site.
Both the driver and the passenger in the truck took off on foot, with one of them unsuccessfully trying to take an occupied vehicle.
RCMP arrested a 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man after a short foot chase.
Investigators confirm that the vehicle involved in the crashes was the truck reported stolen earlier in the day.
RCMP say there were no injuries.
Earlier Tuesday, Prince George RCMP issued a warning about a recent spike in thefts of Ford trucks and vans.
