A call from a well-informed resident sent RCMP on a grand chase across Quesnel on Wednesday.
Initially, police received a call from an employee at a Malcolm Drive business notifying them of a man breaking his parole conditions.
33 year-old Nathon Doucette was under court orders which prohibited him from being present at the business.
While Doucette had fled by the time police arrived, the employee was able to provide info on the vehicle he was driving, including the plates.
After running said plates, police discovered that the vehicle had been taken from Kamloops without the owner’s consent.
When police located the vehicle and began to pursue Doucette, he refused to pull over, eventually colliding with a police vehicle, after which he fled on foot.
Doucette then forced his way in to a home, injuring the owner in the confrontation that followed.
Police eventually caught and arrested Doucette, who will face four related charges when he appears in court on the 16th.
