A single vehicle collision which occurred north of Quesnel early this morning has claimed one life.
RCMP were called out to Highway 97 near Hush Lake at roughly 5:45 this morning for reports of the crash.
Police say the two-occupant vehicle was headed northbound when it left the road, resulting in the death of the passenger.
When they arrived on scene, officers found the driver of the vehicle suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries and had them transported to hospital.
RCMP and the BC Coroners’ Service are continuing to investigate and drivers in the area, roughly 20 kms north of Quesnel, should expect delays.
