A pick-up truck which was abandoned in the middle of a popular Prince George intersection kept RCMP busy on Saturday.
At roughly 3:30 in the afternoon, police began to receive numerous reports of collisions relating to the abandoned truck.
According to the police report, the truck had come to a stop at the intersection of Massey Drive and Opie Crescent when both front wheels deflated.
The driver then abandoned the vehicle in favour of taking off on foot.
Officers were able to located and aprehend the driver nearby and had him undergo a 12 step drug evaluation.
Following evaluations, police believe the 50 year-old driver to have been impaired by drugs at the time.
Upon investigation, police also found that the vehicle was uninsured and wore incorrect plates, and that the driver was prohibited from driving.
He was issued a 24 hour license suspension and 7 day vehicle impoundment, and will face further charges in court.
