Residents of the northern portions of Vancouver Island were jarred by an earthquake off BC’s coast last night.
Measuring at a magnitude of 5.8, Earthquakes Canada says the quake initially struck roughly 200 kms west of Bella Coola at around 9:30.
According to the organization and the US Geological Survey, no tsunamis are expected to sprout up as a result of the quake.
