Chad Norman Day has been re-elected to lead the Tahltan Central Government following a Monday vote.
Day defeated runner-up Gayleen Day 597 votes to 251 to nab his second term as TCG President.
Over the course of his first term, Day was a strong supporter of the mining indutry, helping to fuel a number of northern partnerships.
Most recently, Day’s government signed a long-term Co-Operations and Benefits agreement with Seabridge Gold for their KSM mining project.
Ken Edzerza was also elected as VP and Adrian Carlick as secretary treasurer during the election.
