Some British Columbian residents will notice their wallets getting a little heftier this Friday.
That would be a result of the province’s increased Climate Action Tax Credit, which is set to make its latest deposit at the end of the week.
Nearly 50 percent of British Columbians will see their credit jump as the province attempts to offset increases to BC’s carbon tax.
Eligible low and middle income families will receive up to 400 dollars from the credit this year, which will further increase over the next two years.
As of this Friday, the new rates for the credit will be 154 dollars per adult and 45.50 per child.
