An expansion to the BC Land Matching Program will make life a little bit easier for new and young farmers in northern BC.
Those looking to enter the farming industry in northern and central BC will now have better access to the land they need.
Through the BCLMP, farmers will be connected with landowners looking to lease their property for farming.
Jolene Swain, the new dedicated land matcher for the regions, will lead land-linking workshops this fall to start developing relationships between farmers and landowners.
In addition, Swain will conduct a land access and needs assessment through public engagements in the regions.
