A group of economists determined to grow the Indigenous economy are hosting their first official meeting in Vancouver today.
Titled the Indigenomics Institute, the group’s goal is to grow the Indigenous economy to the point where it brings in 100 billion dollars annually.
Yesterday, the Institute wrapped up their two day Indigenomics By Design conference in Richmond, which laid the groundwork for the plan.
That plan will use twelve economic levers to support focused and designed economic growth.
Today’s event represents a first of-its-kind meeting of leading economists specifically to advise the growth of Indigenous economics.
