A new pilot program focused on strengthening community-based mental health supports is coming to Quesnel.
Yesterday, City Council approved a request for no-charge office space for the Pilot at 345 Anderson Drive.
They have also opted to provide up to 5 thousand dollars to outfit the space.
A two-year mental health and wellness capacity building pilot, funded by the Canadian Mental Health Association, will operate out of the space.
That pilot aims to strengthen community-based supports and services for all residents of Quesnel and the surrounding areas.
Once launched, the building will be open from 9 to 5 on weekdays with one full-time and one part-time staff member funded by the Association.
