A public report led RCMP in Prince George to discover human remains on Monday.
Little information is known at this time regarding the identity of the remains, but police are currently investigating.
Investigators are currently reviewing missing persons cases in the area, and while the cause of death is unknown, they haven’t yet ruled out foul play.
