A fire has led to the dismantling of a homeless camp in Williams Lake.
City officials had been monitoring the camp in the River Valley, having known of its existence for roughly a month.
According to the city, a meeting had been held between staff and numerous other agencies to determine how to approach concerns relating to the camp.
When the fire department had to respond to a blaze in the camp on Sunday, it was the final straw for the City, who took the camp down yesterday.
The City says they are working with various agencies in town to come up with a solution to the recent string of homelessness.
