School District 54 board members have unanimously approved the District’s 2019-2020 budget.
In total, the Bulkley Valley School District has 22.3 million dollars worth of budgeted expenses, with 22.5 million dollar operating revenue.
As part of the new budget, funding for Indigenous students has increased by 18 percent, while funding for students with unique needs has increased by up to 10 percent.
Instruction expenses make up the vast majority of the budget, coming in at just over 16 million.
The rest of the funding is divvied up among operating, maintenance, administration, and transportation costs.
