An affordable housing building in Williams Lake is expected to begin taking in occupants this fall.
Dubbed the Williams Lake Creek Apartments, the rental housing building will offer 8 subsidized units and 31 rental units upon opening.
Those eight subsidized units will go to residents affected by intellectual disabilities, or mental health issues.
Occupants of the remaining units will be able to rent single-bedroom units at 800 dollars per month and two-bedroom units at 925 a month.
Applicants for the First Avenue North units must have a household income of no more than 71,200 dollars per year.
Operated by the Williams Lake Association for Community Living, the units will be owned by the BC Rental Housing Corporation.
