B.C.’s independent forestry watchdog is taking a closer look at operations in the North Cariboo.
The Forest Practices Board is examining the BC Timber Sales (BCTS) program and timber sale licence holders.
Auditors will be looking at a number of compliance issues, including harvesting, roads and bridges, replanting, and fire protection under the Forest and Range Practices Act and Wildfire Act.
The audit will focus on an area including Quesnel, Wells, Barkerville, Nazko, and Kluskus until June 24.
