Two homes suffered significant damage, while a third is still being assessed following a fire in Prince Rupert yesterday evening.
Prince Rupert Fire Crews were dispatched to the 3rd Avenue West fire, near the Pacific Inn, at approximately 6:18.
Initial reports were of a fire at a single residence, and crews first planned to prevent the fire from spreading to the others.
However, the buildings proved to be too close together, making them unable to stem the spread.
13 members of the fire department, along with RCMP and other responders were on scene throughout the night to fight the blaze.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
