British Columbians are being warned to prepare for drought-like conditions as summer forecasts call for less and less rain.
While some regions are already facing drought warnings, the BC River Forecast Centre says those could extend to the entire province in coming weeks.
According to their projections, more than half of the snowpack which feeds most rivers in the province has already melted.
Snowpack levels in the province were already less than half of what can normally be expected when the season began.
Some farms in the province have already reported struggles growing produce due to the dry conditions.
While the heat will hit BC the hardest this summer, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are also expected to experience drought-like conditions.
