A new Co-operation and Benefits Agreement has been reached between the Tahltan Nation and Seabridge Gold Inc.
That agreement will guide the future of Seabridge’s KSM gold and copper mining project on their territory.
Nearly 78 percent of those who participated in a vote among Tahltan members voted in favour of the project and its Impact Benefits Agreement.
Tahltan Central Government President Chad Norman Day says the agreement has far reaching economic benefits and features strong commitments to environmental protections.
Seabridge and the TCG have worked closely together on bringing the KSM project up for more than a decade.
