According to May’s Labour Force Survey, British Columbia’s economy is holding strong, pacing Canada yet again.
For the 22nd month in a row, BC leads the other provinces with a 4.3 percent unemployment rate.
So far across 2019, the province has added more than 107 thousand jobs, primarily full time and in the private sector.
Minister of Jobs Bruce Ralston is expecting the gap between BC and the rest of Canada to continue to grow, quoting forecasts projecting even further economic growth.
