On Tuesday, the Cariboo-Chilcotin Coast Tourism and Marketing Association presented Quesnel City Council with their 2019 update.
Included in the presentation was a destination roadmap highlighting the three main strategies to grow tourism in the region.
Under the Gold Rush Trail Strategy, the Association will focus on addressing a shortage of transportation options, adding WiFi hotspots, investing in heritage and new funding models, and environmentally conscious growth.
Transportation options, ferry related changes, cultural supports, and safety improvements fill their Chilcotin Central Coast Strategy.
And their Interlakes Strategy centres around improving and expanding tourism options and accomodations, and increasing WiFi coverage.
