All open burning restrictions currently being issued by the Northwest Fire Centre will be lifted as of noon on Friday.
Category 2 fires had been banned by since the end of May, but less harsh conditions have prompted less harsh restrictions.
While fire ratings have dropped significantly in the region, wildfires still pose an ever-present risk and the Wildfire Service is urging residents to remain cautious when starting a fire.
Though the restrictions put in place by the Fire Centre will be lifted, certain fire zones may still have their own restrictions in place.
