An eighteen-year-old Prince George resident is in hot water after Mounties caught him doing 131 kilometres an hour in a 60 km/h zone last week.
The teen was handed a $483 find and police impounded the vehicle for seven days, even though he wasn’t the registered owner.
The tow and storage bill will also be paid by the vehicle owner.
RCMP have also submitted a dangerous drive report to the BC Superintendent of Vehicles for future licensing considerations.
Prince George Mounties handed out ten other excessive speeding violations with a vehicle impound during their May speeding and aggressive driving campaign along with 251 speeding tickets.
