A 50 thousand dollar injection from the provincial government will help complete an on-going agriculture plan in Quesnel.
Earlier this year, the City completed their Regional Agri-Food Business Plan in hopes of bringing a BC Food Hub to town.
Work on the plan dates back to 2015, with the Ministry of Agriculture involved in the funding process from the beginning.
Quesnel is one of five communities receiving funding to help advance the province’s plans to build a BC Food Hub Network.
With a regional focus, the goal of the program is to enhance and showcase BC’s food markets.
In total, the five projects will split over 220 thousand dollars in funding.
