A number of northern communities are set to benefit from a 4 million dollar investment in tourism activities.
Destination BC is provifing the funding to 57 projects across the province through its Co-operative Marketing Partnerships program.
Funding is being distributed to projects which aim to attract visitors from nearby markets such as Alberta, Washington State, or within BC.
A wide range of tourism activities are supported by the investment, including golf, biking, wine tours, camping, fishing, and more.
In northern BC, funding will support tourism projects of Haida Gwaii, in the Bulkley Nechako, Skeena, northcoast, and Cariboo Chilcotin regions.
